Peace and Good in Christ!We extend blessings for a holy Christmas this year!
Christmas is always a time when we think of divinity being incarnated in humanity in Jesus through the faithful obedience and trust of the Joseph and Mary. It's a time when we hope for the very best in humanity because of our divine Savior, Jesus Christ.
But that's not all: It's also a time when we reflect on the paradox of the Almighty being made vulnerable as a little baby in a manger. It's a time when the King of Kings is revealed to the poor shepherds in the field, as well as to the Magi from the east. It's also a time when we realize that this paradox causes even the rich and powerful builder like Herod to be filled with fear. Love always conquers evil, and light threatens and dispels the darkness of our human sin.
May we receive this Christmas message with love, joy, and peace; with faith, hope, and charity for all.
Have a blessed and holy Christmas this year, and may we always believe that all things are possible with God.

Peace and good in Christ!
As most of you know I have been led by God, with the confirmation of my bishop, to seriously reduce the time I am away from the Hermitage later in 2017 in order to better lead the monastic community as Spiritual Father and General Minister. This has been confirmed externally through a series of circumstances which include my personal health issues, and the internal impelling of the Holy Spirit for me to spend more time in my monastic life. I truly welcome this new chapter in my monastic ministry in life.
My itinerant ministry was the engine that generated most of the financial support of the Monastery, either directly, or through sale and interest in our Monastery products. Because I will spend less time in itinerant ministry the income generated for the Monastery through that ministry will also be reduced. Therefore, we desperately need your help!
New Vocations at Little Portion Hermitage
Our needs continue, and even grow with growth of numbers at the Monastery. In addition to existing monastic brothers, sisters, and families, we have new monastic vocations, and lay employees to support. While not motivated by money, we recognize our need for enough to sustain our simple monastic life. Your help is needed, and deeply appreciated!!
I would ask you to seriously consider donating via our sustained giving option. Sustained giving means that you pledge to give a certain amount on a weekly, monthly, or annual basis. This is enormously helpful, and downright necessary for us as we budget the coming year at the Monastery. All donations are tax deductible.
We also ask you to energetically support my ministry by purchasing and sharing Troubadour For The Lord CDs, books, and DVDs. Folks have been blessed by them for decades, and continue to do so.
