Daily Readings for Monday, 4 November 2013
Romans 11:29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. 30 For as you in time past were disobedient to God, but now have obtained mercy by their disobedience, 31 even so these also have now been disobedient, that by the mercy shown to you they may also obtain mercy. 32 For God has shut up all to disobedience, that he might have mercy on all.
33 Oh the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out!
34 “For who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counselor?”✡
35 “Or who has first given to him,
and it will be repaid to him again?”✡
36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things. To him be the glory for ever! Amen.(Messianic WEB)
Psalm 69:30 I will praise the name of God with a song,
and will magnify him with thanksgiving.
31 It will please the LORD better than an ox,
or a bull that has horns and hoofs.
33 For the LORD hears the needy,
and doesn’t despise his captive people.
34 Let heaven and earth praise him;
the seas, and everything that moves therein!
36 The children also of his servants shall inherit it.
Those who love his name shall dwell therein.(Messianic WEB)
Luke 14:12 He also said to the one who had invited him, “When you make a dinner or a supper, don’t call your friends, nor your brothers, nor your kinsmen, nor rich neighbors, or perhaps they might also return the favor, and pay you back. 13 But when you make a feast, ask the poor, the maimed, the lame, or the blind; 14 and you will be blessed, because they don’t have the resources to repay you. For you will be repaid in the resurrection of the righteous.”(Messianic WEB)
