Lewis Robert (Bob) Crownover
With deep sympathy and prayers, we share news of the passing of Lewis Robert (Bob) Crownover, of our congregation. 
Born on August 31, 1950 in Belleville, Illinois; he passed from this life early on Monday, February 17, 2014 at home in Torrance, CA, as a result of cancer. For the past 24 years, he has shared his life with his wife, Betty. 
Bob was a beloved member of our congregation, and served as our Facilities Manager since 1995. He was a Certified Lay Servant in the United Methodist Church, and preached in our church and for the California-Pacific Annual Conference.
Bob first came to our congregation through Shared Bread, and it wasn't long before his dedication, ability, thoughtfulness and faithfulness became qualities we counted on for the work of the church. 
A memorial service will be planned in coming weeks; details to come later.
"O Lord, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. Look down upon our sorrowing hearts today, we humbly pray, and be gracious. Help all who mourn to cast every care upon you, and find comfort, through Jesus Christ our Lord."
