PRAISES:
Missionaries Rusty and Diane Robbins say, “We praise God for His provisions!” Thank you Jehovah Jireh, the great provider, for how you indeed do provide for each of us. Pray for the Robbins and their ministry at JESUS Film Harvest Partners (additional prayer requests are found below).
PRAY FOR:
GLOBAL MINISTRY REQUESTS
Eurasia Region Requests
•The war in Syria has caused more than 150,000 deaths and two million people have fled the country seeking refuge in Jordan and Lebanon. Pray for Nazarene churches in these countries that are reaching out with love, care, and support. A new clinic is serving refuges and poor families in Beirut. As one pastor recently said, “The situation is difficult, dangerous, and heart-breaking but God is with us and our faith is at the top.”
•Pray for the ministry of Moscow First Church of the Nazarene as its members reach out to the people of Neznaika, who need to receive the love of Christ.
•Pray for volunteer missionaries Jay and Sheri Hartzler and their music ministry in Romania. The work is encouraging people of all ages through music. Ask God to bless their efforts, and for the light of God’s loves to become even more transformative in the lives of those who are learning music.
•Ask the Lord of the harvest (Luke 10:2) to send out workers into His harvest field. Pray that God will raise up and equip new workers across the Eurasia region.
July Missionary Prayer Focus
Thank you for keeping Nazarene missionaries in your prayers. The following requests have been received from missionaries who are part of the July Prayer Focus:
Rusty and Diane Robbins, serving in the USA at JESUS Film Harvest Partners
Prayer requests: The field is ripe for harvest. The regions, fields, and county leaders are requesting additional JESUS Film Harvest Partner (JFHP) teams be commissioned for evangelism.
•Pray for the Lord to provide indigenous people to serve on the new teams
•Pray for the Lord to bring up more pastors to shepherd the local churches which result from the team work
•Pray for the Lord to provide JFHP with the people and money resources to facilitate this work.
•Pray for the Lord to reach out to the hearts of churches to deliver the equipment from the states to the waiting countries (Ministry Trips).
Pray for us to work efficiently and effectively to handle the additional administrative work, which comes with growth.
•Pray for Rusty as he facilitates Ministry Trips to move resources to needs.
•Pray for the Lord’s blessings on our partners allowing them to invest more in Kingdom building.
•Above all pray for us to serve our Lord Jesus Christ fearlessly!
Grace Shelby, serving in Zambia
Please pray:
•For wisdom going forward and my move to Zambia. Pray that I can think clearly and KNOW what I need to focus on, prioritizing is not one of my strengths. Ask God to help me to not become overwhelmed with all that I need to do to be ready to leave by September 1st.
•That hearts will be softened for long-term sponsorship and support of this ministry so I may leave and serve.
•That I will allow the Lord total access to all areas of my life and remain pliable to His molding and leading, ears to hear and eyes to see His will, His ways.
•For safety and health while traveling in August/September to Zambia.
•That I will find a good and reasonably priced car after I arrive in Lusaka.
•That I will find a roommate and reasonably priced apartment.
•That I will be able to adapt quickly to the cultural differences and not be too home sick.
•That I will truly be a help to the Mtambos and Sidles, and assist them in their ministries.
Katie Fitch, serving in Denmark
•Pray for the work at the Sweet Surrender Café in Copenhagen.
•We have a number of new non-Christian volunteers. Please pray that we will be effective witnesses to them.
•The month of July is travel month. Pray that we maintain the right amount of staff and customers throughout the month.
•We are in need of a Danish accountant. Please pray we find one in our price range.
•We are beginning to plan the future of our cafe church. Ask God to raise up a Danish pastor to lead the church.
•There is a fine line to walk between ministry and business in the cafe setting. So, I always need prayer that the everyday tasks do not overwhelm and get in the way of the people and ministry.
Bruce and Cinda McKellips, serving in Portugal
•Please pray that we can work out the details for our resident visa for Portugal. We have a couple of issues that need to be resolved to make this happen.
•We plan to use July and August for Portuguese language study. Please pray that the transition from Spanish to Portuguese will go smoothly.
•We always appreciate prayer as Bruce often travels on the Region for Work & Witness, JESUS Film Harvest Partners, or the Western Mediterranean Field.
•Pray for Cinda in her new positions: recording the monthly JESUS Film statistics for the Eurasia Region, and managing finances for the Western Mediterranean Field and the Portugal Mission.
•Please pray for the 225 JESUS Film teams active in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, and Pakistan. Each month we read stories of salvation, miraculous healings, and deliverance from demons. We are blessed by their faithfulness and dedication in serving the Lord under very difficult circumstances due to opposition to Christianity. Many times it leads to physical and verbal abuse, including threats on their lives. They also face incredibly difficult travel to not only show the film but also during the follow-up, to continue to minister and encourage those who have accepted Jesus as Lord. Without their sacrificial efforts, preaching points could not be planted, which eventually develop into established churches.
Mission Immersion Quito
Mission Immersion 2014 is underway in Quito, Ecuador. Mission Immersion is a hands-on, cross-cultural experience for students who have a call to missions. Pray for the students and leaders who will immerse themselves in the lives of the Ecuadorian people from July 9-20. Read more about Mission Immersion by clicking here.

Pray for the NMI Global Council and Global Mission leaders as a new director for NMI is sought.

HEALTH-RELATED REQUESTS
Jim Radcliffe- UPDATE
Dr. Jim, missionary in Papua New Guinea (PNG), has been informed that he is a good candidate for the necessary heart repair. The surgery date has been set for August 4th. The Radcliffs are asking for focused prayer as multiple tests need to be completed and preparations made in advance of the surgery.
“We are praying for a quick recovery, the ability to complete our home assignment speaking, and to return to PNG in January,” said Dr. Jim. “Please also pray for the Lord to use this time and to guide us in all the changes of schedules and plans we need to make. We are resting in the arms of Jesus and trusting Him for His healing, in His time and Way.”
Thank you for praying.
"In the pure, strong hours of the morning, when the soul of day is at its best, lean upon the windowsill of the Lord and look into His face, and get orders for the day. Then go out into the world with a sense of a Hand upon your shoulder and not a chip."(E. Stanley Jones, Christian missionary and theologian)
