Dear Friends,
A brief word and then two important updates:
This Sunday is All Saints Sunday, one of my favorite of the entire year, as affirm one of the great truths of the Apostles' Creed:  "The Communion of the Saints," and we remember and celebrate the lives and memories of those who have joined the "church triumphant."  I'm sure you have a loved one or someone you know who has "passed over" to life eternal this past year or many years ago, and you will want to join us at the various stations around the church to light a candle for them and breathe their name.  They are the ones who have helped change your world, and it's good to remember.
Exciting Updates:
1.  We have been quietly receiving donations and year long pledges for our new Hub/Welcome Center, and the really good news is this: we're at $180,000 toward our goal of $229,000!  We're getting close, with more donations coming in and opportunities for you to donate to this latest gem on Trinity's campus.
2.  The next time you come to Trinity check out the new shade structures going up on the new, fully handicap accessible playground by the Education Building.  We still have one additional big climbing piece to install, hopefully next week.  It's almost complete, and will be a welcoming place, accessible for all.
The amazing thing to me is that you're doing all of this, while also "changing the world" through outreach, mission and witnessing here in Alachua county and around the world.   We have had a special token created for us to commemorate our Fall Stewardship Focus, and I believe they will be in this Sunday; you'll definitely want to have one.
God bless, Dan

A Word from Rev. Esther:  I'm not going to lie, I'm really excited about this Wednesday.  We will begin our three week series titled 'Change the World' at the6:35 service in the chapel.  We will start by looking at one of my favorite passages - Luke 4:16-21 - Hearing Christ's Call.  In addition to hearing about this important topic and call to action, we'll celebrate through the opportunity to serve the homeless in our community.  Please bring in at least one pair of new socks to donate to some of our local organizations as part of #Socktober.  Following the service Coffee Talk for young adults will meet in the chapel and start our first 'Change the World' project as well.  Feel free to join us if you're interested in helping!  May your week be filled with blessings and opportunities to bless others.
A Word from Rev. Aaron:  In case you haven't noticed, fall is in full swing here at Trinity and I have been busy behind the scenes with our staff and your dedicated finance committee helping to prepare our 2015 budget, as well as our fall stewardship campaign. I hope you will prayerfully consider partnering with us to help make happen the great things God has in store for our church next year. I also wanted to share how grateful I am for the work that many people who love Sonlight have been doing to help us in the transition and to plan for its continued success in the future. It really does take all of us doing our part. One thing I would invite you to do...help Sonlight kick off their tour fundraising by clicking here and ordering an apple or pumpkin pie for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday! Grace and peace be with you, friends!

WELL WISHES Stepping Stones Service Project November 3-December 20
In the true spirit of Christmas, we would like to emphasize to the children the importance of giving to those less fortunate. Stepping Stones Preschool will be raising money for Living Water International in hopes of providing clean water to children in El Salvador. Our goal is to earn $5000, (Wowser!) the amount of money needed for one water well. We can do it!  "Come, all who are thirsty, come to the water." (Isaiah 55:1)
Gift Giving Alternative: Perhaps you would like to use this service project as an "alternate gift giving" idea this year for Christmas. We would be happy to send a Christmas card to the recipient acknowledging your tax deductible gift.
Contact Rachel in the Stepping Stones' office at preschool@trinitygnv.org or call 416-3025.  Thank you and God Bless!
