Thank you for your partnership with Jews for Jesus. We are grateful that the Lord has blessed our missionary efforts with fruit for more than four decades now and you have been a part of this since 2014. The thousands of Jewish people who have turned to the Lord Jesus are our spiritual legacy.
Perhaps you have begun to think about your personal legacy. As active partners you share the legacy of Jewish people coming to Messiah Jesus as well. I’d like to tell you about some ways you can extend that beyond your days on earth.
First, you can put Jews for Jesus into your will by designating that Jews for Jesus receive a fixed percentage of your estate, or you can assign a set dollar amount. If you already have a will, but would like to make a change to include Jews for Jesus, we can furnish you with a codicil. That is a supplemental form to make an addition to your will. There is no cost to you when you fill out the form. Simply sign, notarize and attach it to your current will. If you don’t have a will yet, we can furnish you a Wills Guide that will help you put together the information that you need to take to an attorney in your state of residence. They can prepare a will for you. Having the Wills Guide prepared in advance of meeting with an attorney will save you time and money.
Second, many people are uncomfortable watching their assets fluctuate with the economic markets. Retirees can especially be sensitive about not knowing for sure what their income will be from year to year. Setting up a Charitable Gift Annuity provides the security of fixed income for your lifetime and a nice gift to support the work of Jews for Jesus. Another benefit of a Charitable Gift Annuity is that the rates are published and based on age. You might be surprised by the amount that your monthly payments could be. Best of all, a portion of your income stream could be tax free. Other attractive benefits of a gift annuity include charitable deduction tax savings and bypass of capital gains tax for a gift of appreciated property. And you would have the satisfaction of knowing that the remaining value of your gift will go directly to Jews for Jesus. We can set up such a vehicle for you.
All net proceeds to Jews for Jesus from either a Bequest or a Charitable Gift Annuity are placed into a Board of Directors mandated fund to use the invested income for evangelism. The principle is never depleted. It just keeps on working for the Lord’s work. Your gift would keep helping win people to Jesus until He comes again.
