1 John 4:7-121 John 4:

7 Beloved friends, let us love one another; because love is from God; and everyone who loves has God as his Father and knows God. 8 Those who do not love, do not know God; because God is love. 9 Here is how God showed his love among us: God sent his only Son into the world, so that through him we might have life. 10 Here is what love is: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the kapparah for our sins.

11 Beloved friends, if this is how God loved us, we likewise ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God remains united with us, and our love for him has been brought to its goal in us.

Pastoral Search UpdateOn Sunday, November 1, Larry Rench, Chairman of the Pastoral Search Committee, brought the following announcement to the PazNaz family.
We were hoping that today we would be revealing to you our recommendation for senior pastor. Instead, it is with great sadness that we report that—due to a serious illness in their family—they have decided to withdraw their name from consideration. Under these circumstances, they just weren't at a place where they could see themselves coming any time soon, and we can appreciate the value they have placed on caring for their family.
I know how disappointing this will be for all who have been waiting and praying for a new pastor. This will also mean starting the search again, which we will begin soon. But for today, we pray for this family and pray for God's care over our church as well.

PazNaz hosts this annual benefit concert for the Pasadena Human Relations Commission on Saturday, November 7, at 7:30 pm in the Sanctuary.
