You may have noticed changes within children & youth ministries here at St. James. You may have questions, concerns or suggestions for improving the development opportunities for children & youth. The next meeting hosted by Dr. 3 & Pastor Andre will be Saturday January 30th at 10:00a in the Lillie Johnson Youth Room. It is our hope that all parents will attend this meeting to address the future of Next Generation Ministries.
Next Generation Sunday
2016 will present some different opportunities for Next Generation Ministries. Every 5th Sunday of 2016 will feature a Next Generation Sunday for children & youth. The intent of this new format is to develop & nurture acts of worship & praise within our next generation.
The first one of the year, January 31st, will take place during 11:00 worship in the Ministry Mall. We will have a special guest, 'big" Al Cherry. "big" Al is a noted Gospel Hip Hop Artist and educator, Youth Pastor & Radio Host. We'll also have special guest "DJ Esquire".
Kidz Connect Sunday
February 7th will dawn a new season of what we have previously called Children's Church. Kidz Connect will happen on the 4th Sunday's during the 8:00a worship celebration, and every Sunday during the 11:00a worship celebration. Kidz Connect is for ages 5 - 10. Registration & check-in will begin 15 minutes before worship. You can also register your child(ren) early by going towww.stjamesumc.com. Early registration gives us the opportunity to project snack and supply needs beforeSunday. Kidz Connect will incorporate praise & worship, offering, communion, arts & crafts and science activities.
