"Seminarian Offering" Tim McPherson, Nazarene Theological Seminary Dean for Advancement of Kansas City, Missouri, United States for Friday, 22 January 2016 "EDUCATION BENEFITS THE CHURCH"

According to Scripture, Christ himself gives preachers, evangelists, pastors & teachers to equip God's people for effective Kingdom living, providing great benefit to the Body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11-16). Paul writes that, when taught the ways of Christ...
God's people will:
  • Serve
  • Build up the Body of Christ
  • Reach unity in the faith
  • Reach unity in the knowledge of the Son of God
  • Become mature
  • Attain the fullness of Christ
  • Speak the truth in love
  • Grow
  • Join
  • Support
  • Build up in love
  • Work their gifts
God's people will not be:
  • Infants
  • Tossed by the waves
  • Blown by every wind of teaching
  • Led astray by cunning human scheming

NTS is a missional seminary serving a missional church. Continue reading at http://www.nts.edu/mission-and-purpose/
