In Psalm 37:4, Scripture tells us to delight ourselves in the Lord and He will give us the desires of our heart. It goes on to tell us in Psalm 37:5 to commit and trust in Him and He will do this! What an awesome promise He has given to those who love Him and has placed their faith and trust in Him. So what do you desire? Maybe you have more than one as many of us do. Put the Lord first in your life and watch Him work in your favor.

Volunteer Opportunities at Blue Hills
As we know, God wants us to be givers. If you are not already giving your time, please consider helping in one of the following areas. We need you!
Media/Sound/Music: Bro Andrew Ward is looking for individuals who love God and want to serve the Body of Christ by helping create an excellent worship service. If you are interested in working behind the scenes with the sound system, please speak to Bro. Andrew Ward.
Janitorial Assistance: From changing light bulbs to keeping our windows and mirrors shining, we need people with an eye for detail to help keep our building clean and orderly. See Liz Watts, Vicky Turner or click here, for more information.
Facilities Maintenance: We are in need of people to regularly follow up on various areas of the building in disrepair and to actively search for areas that need regular maintenance before something goes wrong. There are many areas that need addressed so the following is just a short list of the types of skills a person could donate: plumbing, electrical, changing light bulbs, paint touch-up, general handy-man work, remodeling and more. Please see Johnny Young or Pastor Winston if you would like to help in this area.
Media Tech: Sis Esther needs individuals to do live recording, managing announcements and song lyrics on a big screen and producing quality video for our website. This may require light editing of video footage. Training is available. We are building communications team and would love to have you join us! Please see Sis Esther on how to get started.
Communications Team Members: Seeking people with a gift for writing, photography. graphic design and art to clearly communicate everything from the vision as a whole to each minute detail of upcoming events. We are designing signs, online communications, mailings, phone calls and and much more. Must have a heart to make visitors and long time members feel included and a valuable part of the ministry. See Sis Lela, Sis Malia, Sis Esther or email the communications team.
Mentors: Minister Joyce Dixon needs mentors, especially men, though women are welcome, to be a 'lunch buddy' or visit their mentee once a week at a local school. Please see Joyce Dixon for details. (Must be able to pass a background check).
Evangelism Team Members: Minister Joyce Dixon is looking for individuals who love people. She has opportunities for you to welcome visitors, work with children in our local schools, provide services to families in our community, reach out to our own members when they are going through difficult times and much much more. If you love people and want to make a difference in people's lives, please share your ideas with Joyce Dixon.

From a healthy breakfast to a snack pack to kick of the school year right, we made sure families walked away with smiles to start the new year right! Thank you National Congress of Black Women for bringing health awareness to our community.
