Greetings to Blue Hills Church family and friends. I am sure most of us know someone who seems to always be happy. They always greet you with a big smile and try to say positive things. You might also know someone just the opposite. They always appear solemn, very seldom smile, and if you ask them how they are doing, well, you might regret it. They will give you a laundry list of their problems. You try to encourage them and they just won’t hear it. Emotions. We all have them because we are human and imperfect. Sometimes we simply cannot avoid a problem. But it is crucial to our mind, body and spirit as to how we deal with it. In Philippians 4:13, Paul said, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". Are you in agreement with him? If you are in Christ, you should be in agreement. James 1:2-3 says we should count it all joy! The Bible is full of words of encouragement for you and to others in their time of need. Be patient, stay in faith. You will be blessed and your words of encouragement can be a blessing to others.

Thank you to National Congress of Black Women, Inc- Kansas City Chapter for their participation in the event held at the church on August 6th! The NCBW-KC had their 3rd Annual Back to School breakfast that was in conjunction with Blue Hills School Supply Giveaway. Again, a big thank you to everyone involved in this worthwhile endeavor to help supply the children in the community with supplies needed for their education.
