Worship, workshops, and beloved community!
"For Everyone Born" is just just around the corner and I am super excited to be there and see many of our friends and allies! It is the National Convocation of the Love Your Neighbor Coalition of which RMN is part of. If you have not registered yet, please consider doing so. This is an important time for us to meet and prepare for the 2019 General Conference. It is a time for us to be strengthened by each other's presence and inspired for the work ahead.
As I am writing this, we only have 38 participants from the Western Jurisdiction. We can do better than that! Print out flyers, post them on your bulletin boards, insert them in your printed liturgies, and announce them in your pulpits. I am asking you and our churches to organize and support people who want to come from your congregations. Now is not the time to sit back, but to rise up and be counted. Here's the challenge: will you send at least one or two representatives from your church and support them? I hope you will rise up and do so!
See you in St. Louis next month!

In keeping with Convo tradition, RMN will recognize and honor two individuals or groups for extraordinary advocacy over the past year.
The Cup of Justice Award is given to persons or groups who have taken bold steps to invoke justice where injustice, oppression, and exclusion exist.
The Voice in the Wilderness Award is given to persons or groups who, despite their isolation in wilderness situations, take risks to proclaim and advocate for justice and full inclusion of all LGBTQ persons in the UMC.
Both awards will be announced during our upcoming For Everyone Born convocation. Nominations are being accepted through July 1st.

Convocation Scholarship Fund
We encourage every Reconciling United Methodist and our congregations to support those who want to attend our convocation but need financial assistance. Every donation counts! Your church or community can also raise money and send your own members to our convocation. If you cannot make it to St. Louis or have additional resources, please give toward scholarships. Your contribution is very important for the success of our gathering! Applications for scholarships are now closed but we would love to bring as many people to St. Louis as possible!
