Jesus was wounded in the house of those who should have been His friends. It still happens. Do we not inflict wounds on our Savior when we neglect to center Him in His own house? Do we not hurt Him when we water down His teachings on subjects that condemn our sins, lack of compassion and concern for justice? Does it not hurt when we make the church about entertainment and a social gathering place instead of a place of healing and acceptance, as well as a house of prayer for all people groups?
“And one will say to him, ‘What are these wounds between your arms?’ Then he will say, ‘Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.’” (Zechariah 13:6 (NASB))
