Kansas City, Missouri, United States - The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection Downtown enote from Pastor Scott Chrostek for Friday, 25 April 2014

Greeting RezDowntowners,
What a beautiful Friday it is to be writing you and what a great week it has been.  All week long it seems I’ve been reflecting over our Easter Celebration at the Kauffman! Each day this week it seemed like I have run into someone else who has a story of their experience, something they saw, or a thin space they witnessed.  It was a great day to be sure!  Thank you for worshiping with us and I also want to say a special thanks to all of our volunteers (musicians, ushers, greeters and tech team) who helped to make the day so special!  Happy Easter!  Several people have been asking if they could get a copy of the short video we used at the beginning of worship.  You’ll find a link to it here.  Feel free to share it with your friends as every day provides us with an opportunity to remember that Christ the Lord is Risen.
This week we will conclude our Gospel of the Nobodies sermon series by focusing on the events that happened after Easter.  We’ll focus on what it means to live as Easter People.  I’ll be preaching live downtown a message that will focus on new life even for the discouraged and disbelieving.  I want to invite you to join us and to consider inviting your friends and neighbors to do the same.  We are returning to our regular worship schedule beginning tomorrow night at 5:10pm, and then on Sunday at 9:00, 10:45, 11:15 (Grand St.) and 5:00pm.  I hope to see you.
In the meantime here are several ways to get plugged into the life of this community!
