Greetings RezDowntowners,
I wanted to write a special note today in advance of tonight's 'Love to Serve' Volunteer Celebration. One of the hallmarks of our Christian community in downtown Kansas City is your amazing willingness to serve one another and love one another the same way that Jesus first loves and serves us. Jesus says, "by this other's will know that you are my disciples." I have found this to be true of my experience with you! Your willingness to serve and love others sacrificially has helped me to experience the life that really is life, the life of Christ. Tonight we will celebrate this 'volunteer Spirit,' but tonight we are also inviting others to join us in service as well.
Starting at 7:00pm tonight in our sanctuary on McGee, we want to invite you to join us a great celebration with fellowship, fun, free t-shirts and some light refreshments. It will be a great night in the city filled with lots of laughter and reflection. I hope you'll join us.

I am so blessed to be a part of this community and I am so proud to serve Christ with you in this city. I am so thankful to be a part of such a dynamic and life-giving community of people like you. I'm looking forward to seeing you in worship this weekend, but until then, have a great and God-filled week!
