and by his wounds we are healed."[Isaiah 53:5 NIV]

Behind Borders
A team member serving in an area where sharing the Gospel is very sensitive says, “Today I just have to give a shout out to our Heavenly Father for His healing work. Behind Borders
A team member serving in an area where sharing the Gospel is very sensitive says, “Today I just have to give a shout out to our Heavenly Father for His healing work. There has been focused prayer for our family’s health and improvement. Praise to Him from whom all blessings flow! He truly wants us to operate in freedom and His best for us!” God’s answers include:
• Jim* finally received the test results identifying the problems in his back. The treatment prescribed involved exercises and swimming. Unfortunately, one of the only ways to have access to a swimming pool is through a very expensive membership. The Lord answered and nearly as soon as the treatment was prescribed, access to a pool was made available at no charge. The exercises are already helping to strengthen his weak back.
• Sandy* has struggled for more than three years with a very specific medical condition that has disrupted her sleep nearly every night. Through prayer and natural remedies, the situation is improving! This may not seem like a big deal, but for someone who hasn’t slept well in 3 years, it is a huge deal to us! It is wonderful to wake up feeling refreshed and not exhausted!
• God is truly working in the life of our daughter from school grades to friendship difficulties.
Please continue to remember team members who are serving behind borders and barriers. God knows each one by name, and cares deeply for them.

SALVATION CAMP A SUCCESS IN MYANMAR- PRAISE REPORT!
Myanmar, Southeast Asia: One of the areas in Myanmar is rejoicing, as seven new souls have accepted Jesus Christ during the Salvation Camp held in the second week of March.
The Salvation Camp was a joint effort of four churches in the area, with four local team members leading the event. The camp was also made possible through prayer and financial support of certain zone churches and their members.
The highlight of the camp was the baptism of seven individuals, the fruits of evangelism and outreach of the camp leaders.
Let us continue to pray for the newly baptized souls, that they will grow into mature disciples so that they can also make disciples.
We would also like to thank the churches and local team members involved for making the Salvation Camp a success. We acknowledge their genuine sacrifice and unwavering faith in God. May they never grow tired of responding to the call to make Christlike disciples.[Submitted: Team Member from Myanmar.]

Sierra Leone Lockdown
The president of Sierra Leone, in an attempt to curb the spread of the Ebola virus, instituted a lockdown in the country March 27-29. Citizens were told to stay inside from6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on those days as well as the next three Saturdays: April 4, 11, and 18. Pray for the people of Sierra Leone. Prayer requested during lockdown in Sierra Leone by nazadmin for NCN News

Sierra Leone churches use the slogan "Fight Ebola. Fight Fear. Say no to stigma."

Sierra Leone, Africa Region
Sierra Leone President Ernest Bai Koroma called for a three-day lockdown in the country as an effort to curb the spread of the Ebola virus. Citizens have been told to stay inside March 27 to 29 and from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the following three Saturdays: April 4, 11, and 18.
Vidal Cole, the Nazarene district superintendent in Sierra Leone, requested prayer.
"Please keep us in your prayers," he wrote. "The entire country will go through lockdown for the next three days, beginning tomorrow. No one is permitted to go out at all except health workers."
Sierra Leone has more than 11,750 confirmed cases of Ebola, the largest number of cases in West Africa, according to the World Health Organization. The virus has killed almost 3,700 people in Sierra Leone since May 2014.
The Church of the Nazarene in Sierra Leone and neighboring Liberia, which has also been seriously affected by the Ebola crisis, has responded to the crisis through prevention campaigns, hygiene education, and the distribution of tap buckets and chlorine to prevent the spread of the virus.
Recently, local churches in Sierra Leone and Liberia have also taken steps to fight the stigma connected with Ebola.
Anyone who has been potentially exposed to the virus is placed in quarantine for 21 days to eliminate risk of exposing others to the disease. A person is declared Ebola-free if no symptoms present themselves within the 21 days, yet even those who have been declared healthy still face the stigma associated with Ebola.
"People do not want to relate or interact with people who have come from quarantine," Cole said. "The victims feel rejected, they feel alone."
Thousands of children have been orphaned by the disease in both Sierra Leone and Liberia, and many of them have been left to fend for themselves.
In response, churches have launched a campaign called 21 and Free to educate their communities, pray for those affected by quarantine, and communicate their love and acceptance for individuals and families affected by the stigma.
Nazarene Youth International leaders in Sierra Leone organized youth from local churches in a community-wide educational campaign connected with 21 and Free.
"In preparation for the implementation, the youths observed three days of prayer and fasting for God to grace them as they embark on the task ahead," Cole said.
The youth visited homes of quarantined families, shared educational material in markets and other public venues, and even stopped to share the anti-stigma message with police officers.
One of the NYI leaders reported, "People appreciated us so much. Mr. John, a man in one of the quarantined homes said the message and prayers we shared with them was a revival of new hope in them and that hope will take them through the 21 days of quarantine."
Isata, a local businesswomen in the market, also appreciated the group's efforts.
"This is a church with a difference, a sanctuary of hope," she said.
How to help
Nazarene Compassionate Ministries is calling on church members around the world to join the campaign's efforts and stand in solidarity with West Africa. NCM suggests these four ways to get involved:
PRAY. Quarantine lasts 21 days. Pray for those affected for 21 days. Click here for a prayer guide.
GIVE. Use your resources to support the church's efforts to respond to Ebola. Funds given to the Ebola Response Fund will go toward education programs prevention and hygiene supplies, and food and vitamins for people in affected communities.
WEAR. Make and wear a bracelet with 21 beads as a reminder to pray and as a conversation starter.
SHARE. Use your voice to fight the fear and stigma. Mobilize your church, youth group, or small group in making bracelets and praying together.[Nazarene Compassionate Ministries]

Blackstone is an Aboriginal Community located in the middle of the desert in Western Australia. Due to the polytheistic beliefs, the spiritual battle is strong, and much prayer is requested.
Community leaders in the aboriginal community of Blackstone.
Kim Jong-Il, a Nazarene missionary, has been working with the Aborigines of Warnan and Blackstone for four years. His mission is to share the love of Christ and establish churches among the communities in the next ten years.
Jong-Il has also met with a mission team who is working with the Aboriginal tribal leaders. This year, they plan to start the Blackstone Community Church.
Outdoor screening of JESUS Film to adults.
In the scheduled conference, Jong-Il plans to show the JESUS Film to the youth and children, conduct Bible studies for adults, and deploy a special tool to help with learning the Word of God.
Since this is a community with a strong oral focus, one of the strategies for delivering the Gospel message will be the use of the Papyrus Audio BookPlayer. We are praising God for partners in ministry who answered the call last month to purchase these units. This is just one area where they will be put to use.
PRAY…THEN PARTNER IN TAKING THE GOSPEL BEYOND BORDERS AND BARRIERS! PAPYRUS AUDIO BOOK PLAYERS NEEDED ON THE ASIA-PACIFIC REGION.
Please join us in prayer for the success of the conference. May the Holy Spirit guide Jong-Il and give him wisdom to teach and guide the people of Blackstone towards spiritual clarity and transformation.
May the Indigenous People welcome Jesus into their hearts, and continue to seek Him in everything that they do.[Submitted: Kim Jong-Il]

Please pray for Pastor Richard Sulatra and our Nazarene church in Chuuk as they recover from the devastating typhoon that hammered those islands last Sunday afternoon.
Pastor Sulatra reports that our church there sustained some damage to the roof, windows were broken out and everything inside got wet. He is not able to check on all of his church members as the power is still out on the islands.
Please pray for God to be with the people of Chuuk as they try to clean up and rebuild. Five people lost their lives on the island due to this typhoon. . Romans 8:28 comes into play here. Thank you for your prayers.[Pastor Larry Cornett – Guam First Church of the Nazarene.]
