Sunday's Sermon, November 15, 2015
Dr. Kevin Mannoia
Mark 12:28-31Mark 12:
28 One of the Torah-teachers came up and heard them engaged in this discussion. Seeing that Yeshua answered them well, he asked him, “Which is the most important mitzvah of them all?” 29 Yeshua answered, “The most important is,
‘Sh’ma Yisra’el, Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai echad [Hear, O Isra’el, the Lord our God, the Lord is one], 30 and you are to love Adonai your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your understanding and with all your strength.’[Mark 12:30 Deuteronomy 6:4–5]
31 The second is this:
‘You are to love your neighbor as yourself.’[Mark 12:31 Leviticus 19:18]
There is no other mitzvah greater than these.”[Complete Jewish Bible]
Mark 12: The Most Important Commandment
28 One of the religion scholars came up. Hearing the lively exchanges of question and answer and seeing how sharp Jesus was in his answers, he put in his question: “Which is most important of all the commandments?”
29-31 Jesus said, “The first in importance is, ‘Listen, Israel: The Lord your God is one; so love the Lord God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence and energy.’ And here is the second: ‘Love others as well as you love yourself.’ There is no other commandment that ranks with these.”[The Message]

From the Family of Pat Johnston
I cannot begin to express the overwhelming and incredible love that God poured out through PazNaz, to our family last Monday, November 9. There were so many stories and so many memories that you shared with us. I cannot express to you how much I was touched and moved by them. As you were touched by Mom, she was touched by all of you as well.
As you all know Mom was a force to be reckoned with. She had nonstop energy and the constant drive to be successful at what she did. Mom's constant drive as a teacher and learner with her church family was a constant source of joy for her. Mom and Dad have always considered PazNaz home and always missed it when overseas. The PazNaz community needs to know that your love and relationship with them inspired many great stories and adventures. Your prayer and influence have been known and felt over the years.
I was also very moved by the sermon this last Sunday that Kevin preached called All In. I can tell you that Mom and Dad have been All In for many years. This too was such an inspiration to me and I hope it inspires you as well. Again, words cannot express my humility in receiving such an outpouring of love from your church to me and my family and I, with all my heart, thank God for each of you.
With my greatest thanks, joy, and humility,
Keith Johnston
