Dear Hearts,
I will be subbing for Kay this Sunday - here are the questions.
Hearts Class Sunday Oct 23
We will finish with Part 2 – I believe the following questions are ones we have not yet addressed.
- p. 37 What is excess? What is enough? What is sufficient”?
- P. 41 How does one go about letting go of the ego self and finding the “no one”?
- P 42 What are the 3 demons in our personal wilderness?
- p. 44 We must love both sides. How can this happen?
- p. 45 What are our steps in taking joy in imperfection?
- p. 46 suffering and prayer – the 2 golden paths. If I choose prayer, will that change how I see suffering?
- p. 48 suffering for and with the other seems to be the only way we can know that our lives are not about us. Do I have to suffer first before I can recognize suffering in others; before I can feel empathy? How does this apply to how we see…the poor….the radical…
- p. 49 you must drink of the cup…the law can give you correct information, but only God’s spirit of love can transform you. Do we have to be transformed before we have a message, or does the message transform us?
- p. 50-51 the importance of powerlessness, of having no control. That space creates faith. What is it about lack of control that is so difficult for us?
- p. 51 symbolic [throw together] vs diabolic [ throw apart]. Healthy religion [re-ligio = to bind back together] gives images of reconciliation. How healthy is our religion?
