In lieu of a regular weekly email I have a few important announcements I need to share with you. See the information below and if you have any questions feel free to contact me.
MISSION EMPHASIS MONTH*

The month of September is Mission Emphasis month here at Shawnee and we are excited! There is one small change to the schedule for the month that I want to bring to your attention. Faith Promise Sunday and Alabaster Sunday are switching dates. The Grahams were scheduled for two churches and were going to each preach at a different church that morning, but we wanted to (as their home church) make it possible for them to both be here and preach together! As a result, Faith Promise will be on September 10th and Alabaster Sunday will be on September 17th. See the schedule below.- 9/3 – Work & Witness
- 9/9 – Faith Promise Brunch with Jaron & Elizabeth Graham
- 9/10 – Faith Promise Sunday
- 9/17 – Alabaster Offering
We are dedicated to being people that care for our community, country, and our world. As such we want to reach out to and care for those affected by hurricane Harvey. Here are links to ways to get involved.

Also, we are going to collect diapers, underwear, and feminine hygiene products as well. Marissa Nigh will collect these supplies on Sunday, September 10th. 
Thank you so much for all that you do and how you all give so generously. I was so excited to be with all of you on Wednesday night for the cookout and prayer walk around the church. We are truly a blessed people. Thankful for you all!
