We've all heard the children's rhyme that "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me." But as adults, we all know that words can and do hurt! It may be an off-hand comment from a co-worker or a pointed barb from a loved one, but words can do lasting damage. At the same time, words also have the power to give life. We can impact others and lift them up through what we say and how we relate to them. In our new series, "Words," we will discover some Godly truths about our words and how what we say and how we say it can improve all of the relationships in our lives.
This week we will finish up our Words Series with a message about "Speaking Truth in Love" into our own lives and those God has placed around us.

Growth Groups start up again the weekend of September 24th and will run through Thanksgiving. It's going to be a great time of connection and growth together. Make sure you sign up on your connection card this weekend or e-mail us and let us know you're interested and we'll make sure that you get all you need to join a group. Our groups website will go live for sign-ups the week of Sept 10.
Also, if you're interested in hosting a group, we'd love to get you connected too. We will be having Growth Group Host training on Sunday, September 10 at 11:45am or again on Tuesday, September 12 at 7pm. You don't have to be a Bible expert to lead a Growth Group You just need to be passionate about helping people find and follow Jesus. We can help with everything you need to be a success at that.
