Alumni Parents and Students Needed
Welcome Week is around the corner and this year we are looking to highlight more alumni parents and their students. We think it's pretty awesome when students follow in the footsteps of their parents by attending GCU and we'd like to highlight those stories! If you and your student will both be on campus during Welcome Week (Aug. 17-22) and are interested in being featured in a spotlight video, email us atalumni@gcu.edu by Friday, Aug. 7. Zenon Castro
GCU provided alumnus Zenon Castro, '15 with the opportunity to pursue his dream of educating other students with disabilities. Personal connections with family and close friends who had a disability guided Zenon toward becoming a role model and pursing a future in education. Learn more about why Zenon earned his master's degree in special education and watch his inspirational story!

If you have recently been promoted at your job, written a book, had a baby or a slew of other great life events, we want to know about them! Update your information and submit your class note. Scholarship Opportunities for Alumni
You have an exclusive opportunity to take advantage of our alumni scholarships.Alumni who continue their education at GCU in a master's degree program will be awarded a course materials credit for each course of their degree. Alumni receiving their doctoral degree will be awarded a credit towards their previous program's graduation fee. It's never too late to go back to school and we are to help you.

Understanding the Value of Strengths
How would it feel to come to work inspired, engaged and truly excited by your job on a daily basis? You may think it sounds like a dream. Many employees are not happy in their jobs though, fortunately this is not the case for Aysha Bell, Career Services Advisor with Grand Canyon University. In this article, Aysha shares steps to make sure you are in a career you enjoy.
Alumna is Finalist for Travel Channel Star
She's an outgoing, fearless, sushi-loving salsa dancer and a GCU graduate. Now, Janel Koloski is one of two finalists for the Travel Channel's online series, "Travel Channel Star." You can read about this Pennsylvania native who lives in New York City in this Travel Channel article. Janel graduated in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and special education. The winner will be revealed on Sept. 7 during a Travel Channel television special.
