Twenty years, and just getting started...
The first week of August twenty years ago my life changed. It was the first week of August 1995 when I, together with a few friends, flew to Toronto, Canada to inquire about this new introductory course in the Christian Faith coming out of London called Alpha. I had learned about Alpha from a missionary friend based in London. Just by chance, or was it providence, I happened to find myself staying across the hall from the creator of Alpha, Nicky Gumbel. We began a friendship that remains to this day. That was the beginning of my divine calling to spread the gospel by teaching Alpha and training pastors and leaders how to help people come to know Christ. My Alpha travels have taken me to many U.S. Cities and countries as far away as India, the Middle East, Central and South America, West Africa and this fall Cuba. So far, nearly 30 million people have attended Alpha, now translated into over 100 languages.

Begins Sunday, August 30. Runs 7 weeks.
Game times 3—9 pm. Played at Blue Valley Recreation Complex (137th & Antioch) and costs $35/single & $65/DH per player.Sign-up deadline is 8/7/15. If interested, contact Pete Sawyer at 913-681-8729 or by email.
Adult Coed Kickball—
Begins Sunday, 8/30/15. Runs for 7 weeks. Game times between 4—9 pm. Played at Blue Valley Recreation Complex (137th & Antioch), and costs $29.00 per player. Register individually or as a team. Sign-up deadline is 8/7/15. If interested, contact Pete Sawyer at 913-681-8729 or by email.
Adult Dodgeball—Fall Men's and Coed leagues
Begins Sunday, November 1. Runs 5 weeks. Game times between 4—10 pm. Games played at local gyms. Cost is $25 per player. Sign up deadline 9/18/15. If interested, contact Pete Sawyer at 913-681-8729 or by email.

Fall Alpha 2015
Join us for this 10-week course exploring the Christian faith. Evenings begin with a delicious meal and presentation, followed by discussion in a smaller group. Urban Volunteer Training:
"What You Don't Know Matters"
Urban volunteer training is required before serving in on-going Kansas City Mission programs. Empowering and educational, this training will provide each participant with a heightened awareness about our neighbors in Kansas City's urban core.
