1 John 5:14 - This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.One of the amazing opportunities that we get as Christians is to seek God in prayer! God literally allows us to go before His throne and pray. This Scripture says that we can go before the King of Kings and ask for anything according to His will.
At Gateway Nazarene, we want to encourage all of our people to pray! We want to encourage you to do this in your private time and in our corporate times of prayer as well.
Private Times - Every person gets 24 hours in a day. I want to challenge you to spend at least some of that time in prayer. Take your praises, your needs and your concerns to God. He wants to hear from you! Do this in the morning, do this in the afternoon and do this in the evening. Simply go before God’s throne and pour your heart out to Him. The Bible says that He hears us when we pray!
Corporate Times – We also have many corporate times throughout the week to pray together at Gateway! First, we encourage you to set your alarm for 10:02. This is in reference to Luke 10:2 which says this, “He (Jesus) told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” When your alarm goes off at 10:02, pray for God to send out more workers into the harvest field. Pray that God would use you to be one of those workers. Secondly, we gather together each and every Sunday morning at 7:45am in the sanctuary to pray. You are invited to come and pray with us. We pray for our people, we pray for our services and we pray for God to move in our church! And thirdly, you are invited to our Field of Prayer which meets every Monday night at 7pm in the coffee house at the church. This time includes praying together for the needs in and throughout our church. Everyone is invited to attend.
