Greetings Resurrection Blue Springs,
I hope your Friday is off to a good start. With all the great classes we have starting this next week, I wanted to take a moment to say a word about two that have been extremely helpful for our members. First, for those of you looking for a place to start, we recommend Alpha. Each week in Alpha you’ll be introduced to an essential element of the Christian faith, which you’ll then have time to explore with the other members of the class. You can ask any question you like. There’s nothing off the table and no such thing as a dumb question. To make it even more enticing, the evening begins with a meal each week to allow time to get to know the other class participants better. If you’re still not sure, invite a friend to come along with you.
Second, the class that has literally turned families financial trajectories around is Financial Peace University. Each 2-hour class consists of financial lessons taught via video by Dave Ramsey over a 9-week period. It will show you step-by-step how to create a budget, pay off your debt, make wise spending decisions, and save for the future. My husband and I continue to use the principals we learned in the class. There is a free introductory class this Tuesday to learn more about it.
I want to remind the men that you’re all invited to the Bowling outing being hosted by our Waypoint Men’s Online study group tomorrow morning at 10 am at Lunar Bowl and that Monday is our Serve day in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. We’ll honor his legacy by serving alongside others in our community. You can find the details on this and all the other classes and activities being offered below.
One last thing, this past Sunday we had a great introduction to our series on Christianity and World Religions. This week we’ll take a look at Hinduism. We’ll learn how and when this faith developed, explore some of their essential beliefs and see where and why we agree or disagree. This is a perfect opportunity to not only understand our neighbors better but our own faith as well.
Be sure to invite a friend or neighbor to join us this Sunday!
Grace and peace,
Pastor Penny

Welcome new members: Pam Albarelli, Breanna Dykes (Mason & Cody), Diane Higgins, Todd & Suzanne Stottlemyre
