PRAISES:
Church Bus
The Russian Embassy in Cuba gave a 29-passenger bus to the Church of the Nazarene in Cuba recently. Cuban Nazarenes prayed for years for a newer, bigger bus to replace the one they had that was old, had many miles and limited seating. Just before Christmas 2013, the paperwork was completed for the vehicle to be transferred to the Nazarene Church in Cuba. We thank the Russian Embassy for their generosity and we praise God for His continued faithfulness to provide. To read the whole story in NCN News, click here.

GLOBAL MINISTRY REQUESTS
Jara - Missionary Prayer Focus
Please pray for these requests received from Trino and Anna Jara, missionaries who serve in Armenia and who are also part of the January Prayer Focus:
Please join Trino and Anna in praying for:
The Armenia District—its pastors, church members, youth and children ministries!
District Assembly—for safe travels to all people coming!
Youth Leadership Retreat
Yerevan Church—we will start church services on Sunday mornings under Trino’s leadership
Children and Youth Camps—Especially for leaders and their preparation!
Church Registration—this is our goal in 2014. We need to pray and fast for the Lord to give us the people needed to legally register our church.
Finances—for the handling of finances with honesty and integrity from all leaders involved in managing different church funds!
For pastor Hamlet who will be ordained in the next district assembly—For God to give him wisdom and strengthen his commitment to serve God and His church.
Our Marriage—we have been married one year and God has been gracious and faithful to us. We enjoyed our first year together, but we still have many kilometers ahead of us!
For the pastors and leaders in the Commonwealth of Independent States and our task of reconciling people with God, This is the core value of our ministry, of course without forgetting our Christian, missional and life of Holiness.
For our Regional and Global Child Development responsibilities—we have different projects and goals and we pray that they are in accordance with God's will. Please pray for thousands of children coming every day to our Child Development centers in all the world areas. Especially pray for the schools in Middle East, that the Lord will provide the finances that are needed to operate. Also please pray for the safety and protection of all the kids we are working with against any kind of abuse that could hinder their future.  Pray for their families and communities.
Daily Prayer Plan for the Persecuted Church*
The following is a weekly prayer plan you can choose to follow for people who are persecuted because of their faith in Jesus Christ: Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.-—Matthew 5:10:12
