9:15am - Sunday School classes for all ages
10:45am - Worship Service
This Sunday, Nazarene missionaries Barry & Charlie Carney will be delivering the sermon. Children in grades 1-4 will be invited to exit the sanctuary with Margie Shwarz.
6pm - Evening service
We will gather at 6pm in the Westside Room for a time of worship and fellowship as Dr. Darius Salter preaches.

Sunday Morning
This Sunday, we are privileged to host Nazarene missionaries Barry & Charlie Carney, long-time members of First Church. The Carneys currently serve in Paraguay, working with church development, Work & Witness, and the Jesus film. Prior to moving to Paraguay, they served in Arkansas, Texas, and Argentina. Barry & Charlie have 3 children- Andrew, Alex, and Alyssa.
Celebration of the Church
Mark your calendars now for our annual Celebration of the Church nextSunday, August 16 at 5pm in the gymnasium! We will gather to look back on God's faithfulness to us in the past year, and to look forward with anticipation to what He will do among us in the coming days. We will end the evening with a barbecue dinner together- all food will be provided!
TP Tower
We will again be partnering with the KC Rescue Mission this fall by collecting rolls of toilet paper. You are invited to join in by bringing rolls of toilet paper to the east end of the foyer (by the windows) and adding to the tower during the month of August!

5:15pm: dinner together in the gym
($4.50/person or $15/family)
6:00pm: Children's Progamming
Kid's choir will begin at 6pm, followed by a time of Bible study at 6:30pm! This year, the focus will be on the books of Joshua, Judges, & Ruth. Lots of legos, fun, and games as our kids dig into the Word.

A 6-week lifestyle program focusing on developing health in 5 key areas: Faith, Food, Fitness, Focus & Friends.

A video-based study of the foundational questions of Christianity.

6:30pm: Bible Study
This group will meet for an in-depth study of the story of Gideon.

Ladies' Service Opportunities
If you would like to get involved in either of these, please stop by the table in the foyer this Sunday morning.
On Wednesday, August 12, all ladies are invited to a time of fellowship at True Light Nazarene Church. The group will play games, have lunch, and share ice cream with the ladies from the Emancipation Station Day Center.
On Friday, August 28, a group of KCFC ladies will leave for the Nazarene Well House in Rochester, Minnesota to help Rick & Linda Day by packing their kitchen before they remodel next month.

We will be hosting Alpha Leadership Training on Wednesdays August 19 & 26 from 6:30pm-8pm. This special training equips leaders to serve as facilitators for a new ministry that uses video-based educational evangelism to invite people into conversations about a relationship with Jesus. Please contact Pastor Dean Blevins for more information.

All NTS Alumni are invited to a 70th anniversary celebration on Tuesday,September 29, held here at First Church. Fellowship will begin at 5:30pm, and a barbecue dinner will be served at 6pm. There will be opportunities to listen to alumni from across the decades, celebrate class reunions, fellowship with classmates and friends, and dialogue with President Carla Sunberg. Early bird registration (before August 8): $20.
