"Majesty"
Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place, what are human beings that you are mindful of them,
mortals that you care for them? (Psalm 8: 1 - 4)
This morning when I awoke and went out to get the newspaper, the moon was still up in the sky, a half moon. The sun was just coming up, the grass was green, the birds were singing, and I was in awe. I didn't break out into singing "O Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder..." because the neighbors have discouraged me from doing so :), and so I began my day, as David began his:
"O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!" And somehow, all of life takes on a divine perspective. And life is good. And I can go on. And so can you.
