Matthew 25:1 “The Kingdom of Heaven at that time will be like ten bridesmaids who took their lamps and went out to meet the groom. 2 Five of them were foolish and five were sensible. 3 The foolish ones took lamps with them but no oil, 4 whereas the others took flasks of oil with their lamps. 5 Now the bridegroom was late, so they all went to sleep. 6 It was the middle of the night when the cry rang out, ‘The bridegroom is here! Go out to meet him!’ 7 The girls all woke up and prepared their lamps for lighting. 8 The foolish ones said to the sensible ones, ‘Give us some of YOUR oil, because our lamps are going out.’ 9 ‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both you and us. Go to the oil dealers and buy some for yourselves.’ 10 But as they were going off to buy, the bridegroom came. Those who were ready went with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut. 11 Later, the other bridesmaids came. ‘Sir! Sir!’ they cried, ‘Let us in!’ 12 But he answered, ‘Indeed! I tell you, I don’t know you!’ 13 So stay alert, because you know neither the day nor the hour.
"Live Like It’s Your Last Day" by Author: Mallory Sauer
Would you live differently if you knew it was your last day on earth? Most people would probably admit that they would show others more love, enjoy the little moments, take nothing for granted, give more financially to help those in need, be more honest with people, take more risks, not worry about what others think, etc.
Why would the knowledge that today is your last day change the way you live? Why aren’t you living that way already?
If we think we have all the time in the world to start living in the best way possible and doing the right thing—like forgiving someone, getting close to God, or telling someone we love them and are proud of them—then you are not living with the sense of urgency this fleeting life requires.
We don’t know the day or the hour when we will come before Jesus—through death or through His glorious return. Please let's not allow the daily routine of life lull you to sleep. Wake up! Live in the moment with God’s big picture in mind. Let this knowledge motivate you to reach out to the lost and hurting, and get right with God!

Hymn for Today: "There's A Great Day Coming" by Will L. Thompson
1. There's a great day coming,
a great day coming;
There's a great day coming by and by,
When the saints and the sinners shall be parted right and left.
Are you ready for that day to come?
Refrain:
Refrain:
Are you ready?
Are you ready?
Are you ready for the judgment day?
For the judgment day?
2. There's bright day coming,
a bright day coming;
There's a bright day coming by and by,
But its brightness shall only come to them that love the Lord.
Are you ready for that day to come?
Refrain:
Are you ready?
Are you ready?
Are you ready for the judgment day?
For the judgment day?
3. There's a sad day coming,
a sad day coming;
There's a sad day coming by and by,
When the sinner shall hear his doom: "Depart, I Know You Not!"
Are you ready for that day to come?
Refrain:
Are you ready?
Are you ready?
Are you ready for the judgment day?
For the judgment day?
Thought for Today:
"We should ask ourselves the question, 'What are we doing in the meanwhile as we wait for Jesus to come again?'"[Daniel Powers].
