Without food from Joey Pierce, Partners In Health in Boston, Massachusetts, United States for Wednesday, 26 August 2015
Thousands of families across Malawi have no food tonight, and child malnutrition is spiking.
It's the tragic aftermath of last January's torrential rains, which washed away acres and acres of much-needed crops. Now, the rate of child malnutrition is expected to double since last year. And, we need your help.
Today, my colleagues are fighting child malnutrition with therapeutic food that can stop the condition in its tracks.
We need to find and treat the kids suffering from this tragic condition, and we have to do it quickly.
Will you consider a gift of $15 or more today, and help us reach more families in need?
Around the world, poor nutrition causes nearly half of all deaths in children under 5—that's more than 3 million kids every year.
Together, we can help change this at PIH sites around the world.
With your support, we'll fan out across the regions we serve. We'll identify families suffering from malnutrition. And we'll make sure they get the treatment necessary to set them on the path to good health.
But to reach all those in need, we rely on the partnership of our supporters.
Will you consider a gift today?
Thanks for all you make possible,
Joey
