As of today, undocumented children will be able to enroll in full Medi-Cal coverage. This is a historical moment for our state! Congratulations and thank you for all of your support!
We must also acknowledge that sometimes opportunities arise for us to move the needle on local and statewide discussions about why our state should provide health coverage to our undocumented populations.
One such opportunity has just arisen. Last night, KCRA News posted an online poll (see below) asking if the State of California should provide full Medi-Cal coverage to undocumented children. So far, 32% have voted yes while 68% have voted no. We know that this does not accurately reflect how our state and communities feel about this issue. We can still swing the outcome of this poll!
