This Sunday promises to be an exciting time of worship and celebration! It will be a combined service with our Spanish-speaking brothers and sisters, in which we will celebrate the sacrament of baptism with 4 individuals who have chosen to make this public profession of faith!

To continue celebrating these lives dedicated to following Christ, Miguel’s congregation is preparing lunch, and has generously invited us all to join them! If you’re able to come, go ahead and bring a side dish to help spread the food to feed more hungry mouths.

We want to keep our elementary children in the sanctuary for this special service this week. Family worship will be this Sunday (10/8) instead of the next Sunday (10/15). At SCN we believe there is value in creating space where folks of all ages worship, pray and learn together! Quiet bags will be available for elementary-age kiddos at the Welcome Center.

Additionally, make sure you mark your calendar for Saturday, October 21st for our second annual Latino Festival! Miguel and our Hispanic Congregation are coordinating a large outdoor festival in the parking lot, celebrating Latino culture. The purpose of this festival is two-fold: to promote to those Spanish-speakers in our community the community of faith here at SCN; and to educate the English-speaking congregation about Latino culture. Activities will include:
- food samples from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Puerto Rico & Dominican Republic
- folkloric dancing
- bounce house & fun for kids
