"Gateway 'Want Ads'" Gateway Church of the Nazarene in Murrieta, California, United States for Thursday, 3 May 2018

Major Announcement:
I would like to try something NEW. Starting this week, we will be launching a new publication in the E-News Series. We will call it the “Gateway Want Ads.” It is part of our cost control efforts for this year and to help leadership get things accomplished somewhat better.
Before we buy anything new or before we hire out a project or a repair or even before we ask the staff to take on more do-it-yourself jobs, I will list them in the “Want Ads” and see if someone in our congregation can help. You can text, e-mail or call.
I hope you all see this as a good thing for Gateway. As a side benefit, we will be practicing good Stewardship of God’s resources.
Example: (not actually)

1. We need an office receptionist for Mon, Tue, Wed. next week.
2. Two Picnic tables need painting – Can be done anytime and we supply the paint
3. Need help setting up for a wedding and baby shower on June 4.
4. Need to do some tree trimming and brush cutting in the Bad-Lands.

Secondly, I would like to start a “Gateway Electronic Bulletin Board” for Gateway people only. Here you can advertise for something you want to sell, get rid of or just ask about something you need.
Example: (not actually)

1. Have a 2-year-old Oak Bookcase. 36” Wide, 18” deep and 48” high $100.00.Call John Doe at 951-555-1010.
2. Have a gently used crib. Good safety rating. Free, just need to pick up.Call Gloria Child at 951-555-1011
3. I am looking to do some yard work for $10.50 per hour. Have my own equipment and a truck to haul away minor debris. Call Jim Helper at 951-555-1012
4. I need someone to mow my lawn next 6 weeks…had an accident and I can’t do it.Call Frank Talker at 951-555-1013

So, look at it this way:
The Want Ads are between the Church Leadership and the congregation.
The Bulletin Board is congregation member to congregation member.Got it…good. I think somewhere in the BIBLE it says, thou shalt try new things and rejoice in it because it is good. If this works, we can, should and will give GOD all the glory.
