Partners in Health "Health care where it's needed most" for Tuesday, 18 November 2014 You helped bring health care to thousands in one of the most remote places on the globe.
I'm describing the tiny village of Nyamicucu, which sits in the mountains of northern Rwanda, near the Uganda border in Burera District, where I serve as project director.
Until recently, getting to a health care facility meant walking two hours each way along a single bumpy road.
But thanks to you, Partners In Health and the Rwandan Ministry of Health opened the Nyamicucu Health Post over the summer, delivering basic health services where there were previously very few.
Together, we can bring health care to the world's most remote, most vulnerable people—because no community should go overlooked, whether in Rwanda, Haiti, or in the United States:

We've been on the ground in this Rwandan village since 2009, helping to enroll more local children in school and supplying families with livestock that improves their nutrition and economic security.
And now, thanks to your support, more than 8,000 residents in Nyamicucu have access to the type of basic health care we take for granted.
The health post is an important new resource for this community, but our work in Rwanda and around the world is so far from over.
We won't settle for a world where people lack access to health care.
We can make sure no community is overlooked. Bring health care where it's needed most:

Thank you, as always, for your crucial support.
