| Southern Florida Haitian Church Holds First Faith Promise |
| | Pastor Ernst Simeus of the Lake Worth House of Grace Church has been strategizing for a long time on how his growing Haitian congregation could become a serious player in achieving its World Evangelism Fund goal. He and Southern Florida District NMI President Dennis Moore collaborated. The church had three days of mission education and prayer. On Sunday, Dennis Moore gave a multimedia, fully translated presentation on missions and Faith Promise. The $7,000 Faith Promise goal was announced. As the commitments came in and were counted, $18,853 was the total. We praise God for the bold steps the House of Grace congregation took! |
| Liberian Pastor’s Children Are Well |
| | The late Rev. Joe D. Sonkpah, who passed away as a result of the Ebola epidemic, was laid to rest November 1, 2014, at the Taylor Major Compand (Cemetery), in the West-East of Monrovia, Liberia. We want to praise the Lord that all of his children have completed their 21 days of quarantine and are well. This was one thing among many things the church praised the Lord for at the funeral. Rev. Daniel Johnson, coordinator of the work in Liberia, writes, “We want to thank the Africa West Field, the Africa Region, and the global church for your prayers and support for the children of the late Joe and Hannah, as well as for the church in Liberia during these difficult days.” |

| GLOBAL MINISTRY REQUESTS |
| Graduates from Institut Théologique Nazaréen |
| | The Institut Théologique Nazaréen (ITN) in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, held its second graduation on October 7, 2014. We are so grateful for what the Lord has done for us here. The graduation was held during the 16th West Congo District Assembly in the Central Africa Field led by Field Strategy Coordinator Stéphane Tibi. After meeting with the Ministerial Credentials Board, the four graduates were recommended as candidates for the next ordination class to begin in early 2015. Please pray for these graduates as they continue to prepare for ministry. |
| District Superintendents and Spouses |
| | USA/Canada Regional Director Bob Broadbooks reminds us, “Just as Jesus requested His disciples to pray with Him, your district superintendent and spouse are thankful to know that you are standing in faith and in the Spirit praying for them. They are depending on your prayers. Pray for them in the ways the Holy Spirit leads you this month.” |
