My Reflections on the Good Friday (or as Missionary Teanna Sundberg said Eastern Europe calls Broken Friday) Worship at Mission Church of the Nazarene on this day, 30 March 2018

My Reflections on the Good Friday (or as Missionary Teanna Sundberg said Eastern Europe calls Broken Friday) Worship at Mission Church of the Nazarene on this day, 30 March 2018
At this year's Good Friday's Worship, the young people from Amber to James to Kelsey to John to Ellen to Tyler then to Pastor Jeff read from Sciptures the seven last words of Jesus, there was common theme that God's church needs to awaken and stop excluding people whether special education people to women to other cultures to the economically poor or any person. I was reminded in one of talks as well the other ones that when Jesus felt abandoned that the people who are taken away from their families and communities especially their faith communities they feel abandoned. As Henri Nouwen and Jean Vanier has stated they are angry about this which brings out our unresolved anger. As one speaker said, we cannot forget to be more inclusive as God in the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit are. The words of Jesus just be He gave up His Spirit in death quoting
Psalm 31:6 (5) Into your hand I commit my spirit;
you will redeem me, Adonai, God of truth.
We should pray this as a pray each as the Jewish people are taught to do. Amen and Amen.
