As the Lausanne Regional Director for North America, I'd like to share with you my excitement for this next era of gospel innovation and outreach in North America! Things are hopping here, and we have launched a number of strategy and research groups and have a number more we are considering launching in the next six months.
We recently created a Lausanne North America website, where we will keep you posted. I invite you to check it out.
It is my hope that each of you will find ways to engage with us moving forward and that, together, we will find ways to engage all of our collective wisdom and passion for the sake of the growth of the gospel in our region today. One of my goals is to find creative ways we can work together around our own areas of interest to see more people reached with the good news of the gospel.
Working together and networking will be a key focus for us as we gather together this June 26-28 for Amplify 2018, the largest North American evangelism conference of its kind. Amplify will be held in Naperville, IL, which is in the Chicago area. We are inviting speakers such as Miles McPherson, Danielle Strickland, Nick Hall, Tom Lin, Steve Carter, Laurel Bunker, Krish Kandiah, Scott Chapman, and more.
Amplify 2018 will also serve as the Lausanne North America Regional Gathering. To this end, Michael Oh, myself, and other Lausanne leaders will be gathering on the first night of the conference to talk about the state of the church in North America, how to be on mission together, and where to go from here in collaboration. I invite you to join us for our Lausanne reception! You must be registered for Amplify in order to attend—please visit the Amplify website for more information and to register.
Amplify 2018 will be a key regional gathering for us and I hope to meet many of you there. This is an exciting time for churches in North America! Despite the many obstacles and challenges we face, the hope of the gospel never waivers and is the answer for all, both far and near.
Please join me as, together, we make much of Jesus in our region of the world.
Dr. Ed Stetzer
