We are already in March, and a number of exciting things are happening!
The results are in! According to the survey Sunday, Spiritual Gifts and Prayer are two topics of great interest. Pastor Winston will begin a series today on 'Specific Prayer' in Bible Study. The survey also showed high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity are major health concerns in our families. See Veronica Turner on how to join our fitness class. Share this great opportunity with your friends and family. 64% of those responding to the survey said they are interested in starting or growing their own business. See Mark Evans on resources we have for helping your business thrive. Over half of the surveys also indicated they plan to continue their education. Throughout this year we are building programs and resources to help on that journey.
Kingdom Academy is now days from opening. We have a few things left on the to-do list such as steam cleaning the carpets, installing an exit sign and a few other small items. Please see Joyce Brown on how you can help. We are also looking for volunteers to hold babies, read to the children or share a fun activity.

Kingdom Academy Grand Opening!

In March, the Kingdom Academy Grand Opening will be a huge day for Blue Hills Church! We are very blessed to be opening our very own daycare. It is located within Blue Hills which is in a safe environment and atmosphere. The daycare is available to children from ages 6 weeks-5 years old. On holiday's or certain school breaks, the daycare will be open to all elementary school ages! We have very affordable rates and we also accept state-pay. Not only will children be prepared for kindergarten by having the opportunity to learn about kindness, mannerism, self-respect, and love, but they will also be learning about God. With that being said, Kingdom Academy will absolutely be Christian based. So be sure to spread the word to your family and friends so their child can be placed in a great daycare!

Breaking Chains to Make a Change

You are invited to help break chains as we make a change through our annual Breaking Chains Community Health Fair and Festival! T-shirts and flyers will be available soon to spread the word! This event is to help increase health awareness, address unemployment or underemployment and reduce crime by bringing our community together. Don't forget to get your assignment from Sis Carla. Last year we reached around a thousand people, and we need all hands on deck to make this an even greater success than last year!
Family Fun Night

Family Fun Night in December was a blast! All ages were out shooting a few hoops, playing board games and enjoying great popcorn with even better fellowship. Bring your family April 1st for another evening of fun and fellowship. Thank you Mother Nelson and women's ministry for planning this event. Check the church calendar or the bulletin to find out about upcoming events like this one.
Fitness Class

Many of the health issues we face are a result of unhealthy lifestyles. When our health is out of balance our energy decreases and it is harder to follow through on the things God has for us. But the good news is good health is not out of reach, and instead of suffering to gain good health, we can enjoy the process! SeeKhristen Evans or Veronica Turner on how you can regain good health!
Caring for KidsWatch here as Principal Hoff from Johnson Elementary and Terry from Caring for Kids thank Blue Hills for their support in Hickman Mills School District, and share on the importance of mentoring. See Joyce Dixon if you are interested in mentoring.

Featured Testimony
Brother Mark expressed in a testimony that he has been experiencing financial debt with the IRS due to a divorce of 10+ years. This debt was $40,000 and he didn't know how he was going to even begin to pay it off. So he decided to put his trust in God and sow in tithing while God worked everything out. After years of going through this on-going battle, Brother Mark recently received a letter in the mail saying the IRS was going to drop his debt down to $1,000! In conclusion to his testimony Brother Mark stated that if you trust in God and be a cheerful, faithful giver, then God will work everything out for your good!

Sermon Highlights:
On Sweetheart (Valentine's Day) Sunday, Pastor Winston preached a powerful sermon that applied both to married couples and singles. The sermon was based on Malachi 2:10-17, a passage that is based on love, not only the love of Christ but the love that should be in marriages. One general tip Pastor Winston gave was for women to cover their men in prayer because their are "strange" women out there. A tip he gave to single people was, "don't just look at a person's physical appearance but look at their spirit." We should all look upon the heart like God does us. Another tip he gave single people was "waiting is not loneliness but longevity" (waiting on your queen/king). So in other words, wait on the Lord and be of good courage while waiting for the person God has ordained you to be with! A few tips that were given to married people were "never stop dating me". Which of course means to take each other out like you did when you first started dating each other and he made it clear that you don't have to spend money to do this! The other tip is "pray together" because if you are not coming together and covering each other in prayer everyday, the enemy comes in and causes confusion. The enemy knows that a house divided cannot stand and if married couples aren't praying together, they are leaving room for the enemy to cause chaos. In conclusion to service, married couples got to renew their vows and singles got the opportunity to take vows with God to save themselves in purity until they are married. Love was definitely in the air that Sunday, especially the love of God.
