MESSAGE – Words from our Resident Bishop of the California-Pacific Conference of the United Methodist Church – Wednesday, 27 November 2013 - Brothers and Sisters,
On this day I am giving God thanks for all of you! I have prayed for you this morning with a grateful heart. You are truly a servant people devoted to the work of grace and mercy of Christ Jesus, generous of heart and loving in spirit.
I have also been in prayer for the people, the families, and the communities among whom God has placed you and me. We serve in an area of great beauty, much hope, and many opportunities for doing good. What a gift we have received! Let us be thankful for life and for the sacred privilege of being disciples of Jesus in the world. Above all, let us be thankful for the faithfulness of God toward us and all of God’s creation.
May you all have a Blessed Thanksgiving!
Peace,
Bishop Minerva G. Carcaño
