World Aids Day, December 1st (UMCOR)
Learn about how to make a difference
through the United Methodist Global Aids Fund that supports programs that focus
on prevention, advocacy, testing, and counseling for people living with HIV and
AIDS. Resources also available from the

Christmas Benefit Gala (Aldersgate Retreat Center)
[Dec. 8] Join us for an evening filled
with a delicious feast, fun and entertainment, featuring the Glissando Hand
Bell Ensemble, and always wonderful items to bid on at the Silent Auction! Tickets $50 or $125 for overnight package. Proceeds go towards Aldersgate Retreat Center
improvements.
"Once Upon a Christmas"

[Dec. 8] With our own Pauley Perrette
(NCIS) and David Dean Bottrell (Boston Legal) will be joined by four friends of
HUMC: Beth Grant (The Mindy Project), Geri Jewell (The Facts of Life), Rondi
Reed (Mike and Molly), Bill Brochtrup (NYPD Blue). Plus: A special musical number by Samuel
Larson (Glee).
Clergy Housing Law Ruling (General Board
of Pension and Health Benefits)
While the ruling last week from Wisconsin
that clergy exclusion of housing expenses from taxable income is
unconstitutional made headlines, such cases are not new. Enforcement of the ruling is stayed
(postponed) until all appeals have been exhausted, appeals are expected, and
they are expected to take months if not years.
