National Alliance for Caregiving "RFP: Additional Information on the Coalition Champions Grants" for Thursday, 23 October 2014

National Alliance for Caregiving "RFP: Additional Information on the Coalition Champions Grants" for Thursday, 23 October 2014
[Caregiving Listserve] from the National Alliance for Caregiving
As you may know, the Alliance recently sent out information on a new mini-grant program to support events focused on the needs of family caregivers who are balancing work and care. In partnership with the ReACT Coalition and Pfizer, we are encouraging caregiving and coalition advocates to lead state house, town hall, or other events with local and state Caregiving Champions.

As you prepare your applications, we wanted to provide some additional guidance
  • The grants are intended to help your organization to identify a Champion who would be willing to serve as a public spokesperson on issues related to family caregiving (see below for "Description of Caregiving Champion").
  • Events can take place in November, December, or January 2015.

  • Your coalition does not have to be formally organized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to apply.
  • The application should indicate the general direction you would like to take with the event and your capacity to support the event. You do not have to have finalized relationships or details by the due date.

  • We will have another call to discuss the RFP next Monday, October 20th at 3pm ET. To join, dial (866) 642-1665 and entering Participant Passcode: 823865.
RFP Materials
Applications are due by midnight, Friday, Oct. 31 to gracewhiting@caregiving.org.

The Caregiving Champions program is
generously supported by Eli Lilly and Pfizer

We're interested in continuing the conversation on caregiving. If you have something to say, send it to Grace at gracewhiting@caregiving.org to be shared with this listserve.
