Right now, 8-10AM CT, bishops of The UMC are holding a conversation about LGBTQ people in the church... the problem is, there are no LGBTQ people at the table!
Would it be acceptable to talk about people with disabilities without people with disabilities at the table? No.
Would it be helpful to have conversations about race with no people of color at the table? No.
Would it be smart to have a conversation about contraception with no women present? No.
