When we were young we learned very quickly that life is based on rules and laws. Our parents told us to “do this” or “don’t do that.” These rules helped us learn how to get along in our family, school and community.But in our spiritual life, it is different. The Holy Spirit teaches us how to follow God and helps us change to become like Jesus. Our Bible verses tell us that when Moses met with God, he was changed. Moses’ face shone with God’s glory.
God’s Spirit changed Paul, too. He was a person who persecuted Christians. With the help of the Holy Spirit, Paul became a missionary for Jesus throughout the world.
The Holy Spirit works in our lives, too. He reminds us when we become proud and turn away from God. The Spirit helps us understand God’s Word and apply it to our lives.
Don’t ignore the Holy Spirit today. Allow Him to work in your life and to help you become more like Jesus.
PRAYER: Thank You, Lord, for loving me and taking care of me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
