"Christmas Through Joseph's Eyes"
Daily Scripture
Matthew 2:13 After they had gone, an angel of Adonai appeared to Yosef in a dream and said, “Get up, take the child and his mother, and escape to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you to leave. For Herod is going to look for the child in order to kill him.” 14 So he got up, took the child and his mother, and left during the night for Egypt, 15 where he stayed until Herod died. This happened in order to fulfill what Adonai had said through the prophet,
“Out of Egypt I called my son.”[Matthew 2:15 Hosea 11:1]

"Joy to the World" "Joy Unspeakable Joy" "Light of the World" Greetings, Welcome, and Opening Prayer by Reverend Cheryl Jefferson-Bell. Reverend Chris Abel preaching, young adult pastor. Matthew 2:13-15. Our ability to adapt. This results to a healty personality when we are able to change/adapt. Joseph to Ruth to Daniel to Paul, Adapting is a hugh part of our faith story. Once we say yes to God, we continue to say yes to Him in our full trusting of Him in our lives. He teaches us to adapt well for His purposes.
1. adapting me saying yes.
The first step in following God is the hardest to take.
2. adapting means saying "no."
Going one way means not going another way.
Maximizers. Satisficers. The paradoxes of choices.
3. adapting means seeing beyond the present moment.
For me, this is the full and active inclusion of people who have a disability with their families using their gifts to build God's Kingdom by the Holy Spirit's Power and leadership.
4. adapting means some people will not get it.
we must learn to not really care what other's think as we seek to say yes to God. These are the four lessons to learn to adapt as we say yes to God while continuing to say yes to God. God is the adaptor for us. God was there when Joseph had to adapt and He is here when we have to adapt. Amen and Amen! Closing Prayer. The Holy Eucharist. Announcments, and Benediction.
