"Dare to Hope"
Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this:
The faithful love of the LORD never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.
I say to myself, "The LORD is my inheritance;
therefore, I will hope in him!" (Lamentations 3:21-24)
Immediately preceding this verse, Jeremiah is grieving the destruction of his home, Jerusalem. What insight does that give you about Jeremiah?
How can you apply this to your life? To what situations or relationships?
"Think About These Things"
And. now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. (Philippians 4:8)What does it mean to "fix your thoughts" on something? How is that helpful?
What are some things you could think about that would help you not worry?
"Exhausted"
I am worn out waiting for your rescue,
but I have put my hope in your word. (Psalm 119:81)
What does this verse say about God's timeline?
Can you imagine writing this sentence? What is the overall message from the writer?
