The California Endowment knows there’s a growing number of people who support #Health4All, expanding access to health care for every Californian. Young adults care about #Health4All and, it turns out, that’s not all. We recently commissioned a Youth Engagement Poll that focused on young adults representing underserved communities. The poll revealed young adults are concerned about an array of social justice issues, including racism and inequality. At the same time, the findings revealed that California youth often feel like their voices aren’t heard or their opinions don’t matter.
Although the young people surveyed, ages 15-26, acknowledge their own civic disengagement, the poll also shows they are eager to make positive changes in their communities. The results of this poll come at a pivotal time when a wide range of civic issues are at the forefront of national and statewide conversation.
For those interested in learning more about the findings of the youth poll and its implications for the future of California, you can learn more here.
