Soul Care New Every Morning of The Global Church of the Nazarene's Office of Clergy Development of Lenexa, Kansas, United States for Thursday, 3 March 2016 "[On the contrary,] they are new every morning! How great your faithfulness!" Lamentations 3:23
Good Morning, Ministry Partner:
Be Encouraged by God's Word:
The apostles gathered around Jesus, and told him all that they had done and taught. He said to them, "Come away to a deserted place all by yourselves and rest a while." For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat. And they went away in the boat to a deserted place by themselves. Now many saw them going and recognized them, and they hurried there on foot from all the towns and arrived ahead of them. As he went ashore, he saw a great crowd; and he had compassion for them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd; and he began to teach them many things.[Mark 6:30-34, NRSV]
Wisdom from Fellow Pilgrims:
When we learn to read the story of Jesus and see it as the story of the love of God, doing for us what we could not do for ourselves—that insight produces, again and again, a sense of astonished gratitude which is very near the heart of authentic Christian experience.[N. T. Wright]
Pray Together with Us:
O Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world, look upon us and have mercy upon us; you are both victim and Priest, both Reward and Redeemer, keep safe from all evil those whom you have redeemed, O Savior of the world.[Irenaeus]
