"You can be Saved through Faith in Jesus" for Monday, 12 March 2018 - goTandem
"You can be Saved through Faith in Jesus"
But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. (Romans 3:21-22)
God loved you so much that he sent Jesus to die for your sins. Jesus rose from the grave conquering death itself. But having a relationship with God through Jesus is more than a knowledge of these facts.
God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Salvation is the deliverance from God's judgment against your sin. It's found only in the sacrifice of Jesus who accepted the punishment for you. It's also a work of God's grace that is received only by faith-believing and trusting that Christ's sacrifice paid the penalty for your sin.
Based on this definition of salvation, describe in your own words what it means to be saved.

"Christ's Bride"
"Let us be glad and rejoice,
and let us give honor to him.
For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb,
and his bride has prepared herself."
(Revelation 19:7)
Who is Christ's bride? Why should the bride rejoice?
What does it mean to make ourselves ready for the Lord's coming?
