Drew University - Presidential Announcement - Monday, 24 February 2014
I am excited to report that the Drew University Board of Trustees has accepted the recommendation of the Drew Presidential Search Committee and voted unanimously to select Dr. MaryAnn Baenninger, from the College of Saint Benedict in Minnesota, as Drew University’s 12th president. 
Dr. Baenninger has accepted the post and will begin working at Drew on July 21, 2014.
Dr. Baenninger is an accomplished leader. She spent the last decade as president of the College of Saint Benedict, a nationally ranked liberal arts college located in Saint Joseph, Minn. During her tenure, she increased her college’s endowment by 240 percent, oversaw multiple construction projects, and received national recognition for study abroad programs, internationalization efforts and support for undergraduate research. She also increased the diversity of the student body, improved student quality and increased net revenue.
Previously, Dr. Baenninger was an executive at the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, and served as an associate professor at The College of New Jersey and held assistant professor positions at Philadelphia University and Washington College in Maryland. She has a bachelor’s degree and PhD in psychology from Temple University, where she graduated summa cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
