Resurrection West,
Good Morning!  I am writing to you today from beautiful downtown Chicago as I prepare to officiate a wedding of two of our members. The wedding will be on the steps of the Chicago History Museum in Lincoln Park. My wife and I are excited to be sharing in this celebration of love and commitment.
Pastor Adam will be preaching this Sunday on leadership. He has returned from speaking to thousands of pastors and lay leaders and will be sharing some of what he has been teaching around the country. He will offer principles in Christian leadership you will be able to apply to your life and your work! Don't miss it!

Many of you know of Jim Masson's passing this past February. This was a terrible loss to our Church family. Jim's committment to God, his family, and our Church was a shining example of discipleship. We are celebrating Jim's life on July 12th at 2pm in the Resurrection West Sanctuary. I hope you will be able to join us as we remember Jim and celebrate together. You are encouraged to wear plaid (Jim's signature look) and we will share in some of his favorite sweets following the service. Tilly Masson and their family hope you'll be able to attend.

Rezlife student ministries summer fun continues with laser tag this Wednesday at Advanced Laser Tag in Olathe - 6:30-8:30. This is for both middle school (rising 6th-8th graders) and high school (rising 9th-recent grads). More info at rezwest.org/students
Ever considered serving on the worship music team? We are always looking for new team members - and our worship leader, Nathan Brooks, would love to hear from you! We have many ways to serve including children's music, middle and high school bands, Sunday worship team. We would love to connect your passion for music with serving at Resurrection West. Finally, the Honduras mission team had an amazing, transforming experience serving last week. They thank you for your prayers and school supply donations they were able to take to the people. And thank you to all who participated in and helped with Vacation Bible Camp 2014 - "The Gift of CHRISTmas"! We had 261 children and 79 volunteers. The children brought in many new and gently used winter coats that will be given to the Johnson County Christmas Bureau located this year at the Great Mall in Olathe. The children also brought in enough offering money to exceed our $5,000 goal for our Beyond Kansas City mission project with the money going toward building fences on the Jamaica Methodist Farm. WOW - what an example of generosity our children set for us in their giving at VBC!
