“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, for kings and all who are in high positions, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and dignity. This is right and is acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” – 1 Timothy 2:1-4
Today The Upper Room asks the prayer community to begin an intentional 15-days of prayer for the five jurisdictional conferences that will meet simultaneously during the week of July 11th. The delegates in each jurisdiction elect new bishops and placements for service will be determined as well.
Join us in prayer for each gathering, and for the person responsible for guiding each event. What is the prayer God is inviting you to pray during this important time of transition? Post your responses on the prayer wall so we can join in your prayer for the United Methodist Church.
